Capital Perspective started from a simple frustration: most financial media is optimized for clicks, not clarity. Headlines either oversimplify a story past the point of being useful, or bury it in jargon that's never actually explained. Neither approach respects the reader. This is an attempt to do something else — take a question seriously enough to actually research it, then write the answer in plain English.

What this is

Every piece here starts from a primary source — a Federal Reserve statement, a regulatory filing, the actual data behind a claim — rather than from what other outlets are already saying about it. Where a topic has a real mechanical or historical explanation (why the VIX moved, what a Sharpe ratio is actually measuring, why a policy change matters), the goal is to walk through that mechanism directly instead of settling for a headline-level gloss.

What this isn't

There's no sponsored content, and there never will be. Capital Perspective isn't backed by a fund, a media company, or an advertiser — it's an independent, self-funded project, which means the only incentive here is getting it right. Nothing on this site is personalized investment advice; it's research and commentary, meant to help you think more clearly about markets, not to tell you what to buy.
